This is a 120-hour Nursing Assistant course in preparation for the Arizona State Board Nursing Assistant certification test. The program is scheduled as a 4/6-week course inclusive of 50 hours of Classroom & 30 hours of Skills in a lab setting and 20 hours of Clinical experience at neighboring skilled / Long Term Care facilities and 20 hours in Honor Health Deer Valley Hospital **. Programs are available Morning & Evenings and Weekends.
Monday through Wednesday, day shift, 9 am-2 pm, Thursday 8am-4:30pm Skills only(4 weeks in class and one week in the facility) Monday through Wednesday 4 pm-9 pm Thursday 8am-4:30 pm Skills only (4 weeks in class and one week in the facility) and Weekend program Saturday / Sunday from 7:30 am to 4 pm. (6 weeks in class and two weeks in the facility)
Any missed time will need to be made up to be compliant with AZBN program requirements. At AZTTI, we strive for student excellence and a successful transition into the workplace.
Applicants will be required to have an in-person interview and entry test prior to acceptance into the program, which requires 8th-grade reading proficiency.
-Admission to the Nursing Assistant Program is with the understanding that you are 18 years of age or older. You must pass a Fingerprint card check prior to the program’s acceptance for which the student is responsible for the $67.00 charge for DPS clearance and $25.00 to the business completing the fingerprinting. You must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. You must be able to lift 30 pounds. You must also pass a drug screen done prior to the start of class for which you will be charged $50.00. You must be able to read, comprehend, and communicate in English. You must have an understanding of basic Math concepts.American Heart Association CPR / First Aid class available to students at in an additional cost of $75.00.
Drug testing and fingerprinting should be completed prior to program acceptance and must be clear.
** In order to qualify for HonorHealth clinical rotation student must be COVID-19 Vaccinated,Flu Vaccinated, up to date withe 2 MMR ,2 Varicella and HepB Vaccinations.(Tithers are accepted)
